The Time Machine

An unnamed Time Traveller visits the year 802,701 and finds two unusual races whose ways of life lead him to question the social and financial assumptions of his own era. Packed with adventure, romance, and a great deal of social commentary, Wells’ first novel popularized the concept of time travel and gave rise to the term ‘time machine.’
